But today I had to fix some organisational issues, that took enough time to prevent me from travelling too far.
So today's post is a bit of a catch up of things I meant to describe in the last few days, and they didn't make it to the actual daily report!
So a quick report on today..
Most important jobbie today was taking my washing to Kath Clean. It seems to always fall on a Monday, and that starts the week off well... Pick up tomorrow and I'm all clean again.
On the way home of course I had to stop at the Ocean - and it's like a mill pond today....

As I was walking along the prom, I heard this bloke explaining about some shells to another lady. He looked like a real beachcomber - bit of a hippy style..
Anyway, the thing that caught my attention was the name he gave to these shells - Holy Lady shells.
So I stopped and asked him about them and he showed them to me..

You might have to magnify the pic to see the imprint that looks a bit like Our Lady...
I was telling Pat about them when I got home, and he had some fabulous examples of them.
Apparently they are very fragile, so I'm not sure if mine will make it home in one piece.
Going back to yesterday...
First of all last night...
Pat cooked a magnificent lamb roast dinner for us all.. and to complement it, we drank the lovely bottle of Margaret River Red, which I had brought over in my suitcase. Pat and Marie loved our Australian Wine, and it went down very nicely with a roast lamb dinner

Yesterday was a busy day, and I already had two posts, but I have extra pics from Marie and Patrick's journey to Whitegate, where Patrick was playing a hurling match.

Mt Shannon is on Lough Derg and is apparently a very pretty place.

Earlier in the week, Ellen and Patrick played together at a school assembly for Culture week. They were posted on Instagram and Facebook under Ennistymon Community School Official, but in case you can't access that, here's an excerpt from the video...
So I think that's just about brought us up to date...
So much happening... so little time!!! But so good..... 😄

How weird, they do look like Our Lady.
ReplyDeleteLamb roast looks yummy.
Love the kids playing, so good.
Yes to all of the above!!!
DeleteI love the look of those shells. When I first saw them I thought of chicken dumplings 🤣 lovely pic of Marie & Patrick. Ellen & Patrick playing music was super. Always foot tapping stuff. John Moira’s daughter Rosie (not yet 6) got up yesterday with tummy pains and by 10 pm had her ruptured appendix removed. So much for the first day of school holidays! ☘️☘️
ReplyDeletePoor little Rosie. Hope she's ok 🙏
DeleteI’m amazed how calm the ocean is after seeing it so wild …..it really does change considerably. I agree with a comment earlier by a friend that you must frame some of your ocean pix for your home
ReplyDeleteWhat a talent Patrick has …he seems very confident too ….bravo to him
Hope your shells travel well
Enjoy your last week
Yes the ocean changed from extra wild to extra calm… magnificent!!! I love the music made by the kids… so very Irish!!!
DeleteLoved the music Ellen and Patrick, thank you. How cool they are adding to your blog as well.
ReplyDeleteYes Ellen was able to save the video for me so that I could upload it. My blog has become a family creation!!! They are all contributing!!!
